Update on Student Data Lawsuit

A Message from Superintendent Andrew

Federal Court Judge Kimberly Mueller held a hearing to amend her recent ruling pertaining to the protocol for releasing personally identifiable student information by the California Department of Education (CDE). She noted that the large number of objections the court has already received did indicate a high level of concern from the public.

The amended protocol calls for a court-appointed special master for discovery who will have to approve which data the plaintiffs can receive from the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CaLPADS) database. More details are on the district website. (www.campbellusd.org)
